Our Story
Ever since junior high woodshop class in California, I have always loved woodworking, Carpentry, and DIY projects. I always dreamed of having my own workshop. After my wife became hooked on finding tons of interesting designs and items on Pinterest, many projects started coming about, including children’s custom furniture. More and more tools were needed for bigger and bigger projects as her confidence in me grew. I studied and honed my skills and began to take great pride in my work. Many friends, family members, and eventually friends-of-friends began to ask for custom bunk beds to be made for their children, too.
Once Layla’s Loft Bed was created and we had so much interest, we decided to take a leap of faith and started our business journey in September 2015. By creating beautiful kids’ beds with drawers, unique toddler beds, children’s bunk beds with stairs, and more, we have found our place in the world. Here we are today as Dangerfield Woodcraft LLC. This family business was created while still working as a firefighter/paramedic in the Miami area.
I’m also a father to five young children and husband to my better half, Crystal. She is an amazingly talented woman who is the creative engine behind Dangerfield Woodcraft. In addition to being a wife, mother, a foodie turned blogger of www.Dangerously-Delicious.com, she is also a registered nurse! She quit the ER life to help with our custom-made bunk bed business. We are busy, but never too busy to create your custom loft bed pieces.
